I recently watched a docu-series about the process of living a lasting life past 100 years of age. The docu-series changed the full trajectory of how I viewed life! The docu-series covered many regions over the span of Earth. One common denominator of the trajectory of living a long life was friendship. But not just any form of friendship, friendships that offered an equal level of pouring into each other.

To elaborate, lasting friendships can have a significant positive impact on your lifespan. Strong social connections provide emotional support during challenging times, helping to reduce stress and anxiety levels. When you have close friends to confide in and share experiences with, you experience a sense of belonging and purpose. This emotional stability can lead to better overall health, including lower blood pressure and a stronger immune system. Additionally, friends can encourage healthier lifestyle choices, such as exercising regularly and eating well, which can contribute to a longer life.

Furthermore, lasting friendships can help combat loneliness and isolation, which are known to have negative effects on both physical and mental health. People with a strong social network are less likely to experience depression and are more likely to engage in social activities that keep their minds active and sharp. These positive social interactions can lead to increased life satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment, ultimately contributing to a longer and healthier life. In essence, maintaining meaningful friendships not only enriches your life but can also extend it.
