Traveling has significantly boosted my happiness by stimulating the release of endorphins, which are the body's natural mood enhancers. When I explore new destinations, engage in different activities, and meet new people, I expose myself to novel and exciting experiences. This stimulation has triggered a sense of adventure and accomplishment, releasing endorphins that has made me feel happier and more fulfilled. Additionally, being in a new environment often has helped me break free from daily routines and stresses, allowing me to relax and enjoy the moment.

I first started traveling in my early 20’s. My mother used to book little birthday getaways. I enjoyed the thrill of blowing out birthday candles whilst in a different time zone, as well as the singing of “Happy Birthday”, in a different dialect. Traveling has always helped me to discover my sense of self.   Furthermore, travel has always provided me with new opportunities to engage in physical activities like hiking, swimming, and dancing, which are known to increase endorphin levels. The thrill of discovering new cultures, food, and landscapes can also be contributed to a sense of joy and wonder, I have for many cultures. These positive experiences have helped build lasting memories, which has enhanced my overall sense of well-being even after the trip ends. In short, travel has not only brought a sense of excitement and adventure to my life, but also has promoted happiness by boosting my body's natural mood-enhancing chemicals.

While I have been to over 24 countries, there’s still more to see and uncap.
